These pictures are from my 18 week ultrasound visit on 20 May 2002. I went to have an ultrasound done to make sure everything was ok, and that my dates were correct. The day that I went should have been exactly 18 weeks, and when they got done with all the measurements, they estimated I was 18 weeks, 1 day, so I am right on track! Here are some of the pictures below. Click on the small picture to get a larger picture. Here's a picture of kiddo face up. S/he didn't stay in this position for very long. On the video, you can see that s/he starts sucking it's thumb briefly before changing position totally. Another profile, this time facing down. I drank orange juice shortly before the ultrasound, and kiddo was moving all over the place. We never got a clear face shot. Here's one that looks like the baby is crawling up my uterus! Its a shot from below (imagine looking up from under a glass table on top of which a baby is crawling). The sonographer thought she saw "boy parts" so she labelled kiddo a boy. The jury is still out on this. In the video, at times it looks like a boy and looks like a girl, so I guess we'll see on its birthday!
