anniversary party. You can read a lot about Uncle Ed in Gramma's diary that I sent you* in the package."

Burial:
Place: Racine Cemetary
Individual Note: From James R. Schwantes 5/4/2001:
"Uncle Carl and Aunt Elsie moved to Racine right after their marriage. Uncle Carl was in the production control department of J.I.Case a large equipment manufacturer that was subsequently bought out by John Deere Company. They were a jovial couple and I can always remember Aunt Elsie's laugh. One summer (I think it was 1934 or 1935) I spent a month with them in Racine while my folks took a vacation. It was in the middle of the depression and things were really tough. Although there was two years separating them in age, Curt and Grant were more like twins. Curt worked for a year after highschool and they both went through U of Wisconsin at Madison together."
